Five-time top 1k finisher Tom Freeman is here to help with your pre-deadline dilemmas for the next hour.

Whether it’s questions on team selection, transfers, chip strategy or anything in between, Scout’s Deputy Editor will tackle whatever’s thrown at him.

He’ll be on hand to first reply to requests from Premium Members in the Hot Topic below the line of this piece and will get through as many as he can until the next article goes up.

    Hi Tom,
    Sadly I’m struggling this season as had a lot on, so now it’s time to bounce back. I’m thinking WC, or can I limp through to week 8?

      Hello!

      I think I'd Wildcard. Plenty you can offload - Sanchez, Munoz (> Richards), AWB, Johnson, Rogers etc.

      You could then consider BB'ing in 8 or 9 (the latter is my preference due to the international break, but play around with the fixtures and see what suits your team best).

    RMT. Already done transfers this week. Brought Salah and Gulu (last on bench) in for Palmer and Ekitike in a more to 3-5-2. Plan to build out defence next, with Munoz and Esteve becoming a combination of 4.5+ defenders wirh good defcon. Then I'll have 4-4-2 as my fall back when needed.

    What if we get a DGW in the first half of the season because of some unforeseen postponement? Isn't it wise to save TC for that?

      No.

      All in for GW6! Will take my Haaland hat-trick and run. Highly unlikely to get more than that across 2 games. Also, what happens when you wait for the DGW that never comes? You then have to play the chip on a fixture that you are less confident on maximising the chip.

      Finally, the chip is not that great anyway, probably making a gain of 17 points on average, not worth overthinking it. It’s now, GW13 or 15.

      i don't think so. With Wood there his minutes will always be a risk

      he has only made cameo's in the league this season and tehre are plenty of good forward options to go at ahead of him

    On WC, think I'm going for 4 premium attackers and light at the back. Can always downgrade one of the prems if I want a better defender. Comes down to Saka / VdV / Richards vs Ndiaye / Gabriel / Lacroix. Since Spurs have good fixtures and will have Raya, I think having Saka (+ 3 other prems) will be a differential.
