Last summer, we brought you the Fantasy Football Scout app.

Now, we are super proud to announce a number of changes to the Fantasy Football Scout site. These changes, we hope, will both improve your user experience and increase the number of tools available.

Exciting Changes to Fantasy Football Scout 13

Since the turn of the year, the incredible Tech Team have been diligently working hard to ensure that the Fantasy Football Scout site you know and love is improved and updated as we head into the new season.

The changes that we are implementing will be coming in at different stages ahead of the Premier League campaign. Today, we see the first wave of these changes live on site.

*Please note that the images in this article include dummy data for display purposes.

Exciting Changes: Brand New Today

Overnight, the site took on a new look and feel.

You will notice that the home page has changed. The old background has been removed and we’ve brought a new, lighter look that can be seen across all pages.

There is a brand new sidebar on the left of the screen (on desktop) which will give you access to some exciting new tools and instant access to our most popular tools and articles.

Exciting Changes to Fantasy Football Scout

The main navigation bar has also been overhauled. This is to make it easier for you to find the pages that you value most.

The new Upcoming Gameweek (marked as FPL GW1 in the sidebar) and Current Gameweek pages are now in place. The Upcoming Gameweek has some features already working and more will appear once the new FPL game is live. You can read more about these exciting new pages below!

The Comments Section has also been refreshed with a new look. This will improve the user experience when you are chatting with the rest of the Scout community.

The Fixture Difficulty Ticker has also been given a refresh on the sidebar – and soon it will be on its own page on the main site, too. The Members version does still include extra features like customising team strength to your liking and more.

We have also updated the Benefits, Pricing, Registration and Welcome pages. This is to ensure it is as easy as possible to become part of the Fantasy Football Scout community. It is now also easier to manage your Membership yourself, without having to contact our Support Team, from our new Manage Subscription page.

If you aren’t already a Member here at Fantasy Football Scout, the new sign-up process will make it even easier for you to choose the right Membership tier or bundle for you.

What is coming with the launch of FPL 2025/26?

When FPL 2025/26 is live, you will notice some big changes to both the main site and the Members Area, starting on the home page.

Many of the widgets that you use most when visiting the Scout home page, such as the captaincy poll and Scout Picks, have remained but have a new look. Others have moved inside a brand new page called Upcoming Gameweek.

The Upcoming Gameweek page will be a go-to for Members chasing those all-important green arrows throughout the season. This page has lots of exciting new tools for you to utilise, including:

Differential Picks

Exciting Changes to Fantasy Football Scout 1

Recommended Transfers

Exciting Changes to Fantasy Football Scout 6

Team Goal Threat

Exciting Changes to Fantasy Football Scout 2

Player Form

Exciting Changes to Fantasy Football Scout 5

Minutes Risk Analyser

Exciting Changes to Fantasy Football Scout 4

Home and Away Performance Specialists

Exciting Changes to Fantasy Football Scout 3

If you log in to the Members Area, you will soon find a fresh new look. The load times on the Members Area have also been improved for the new season. This means that you won’t have to wait as long for the OPTA data to load.

We will also be adding some exciting new tools, such as the Captaincy Matrix. This tool will visually display the best captain options for the upcoming Gameweek based on RMT and the underlying data.

Fantasy EFL fans will be excited to hear that the Fixture Tickers will also find a new home. They will now be displayed on site as part of the redesign.

Exciting Changes: From FPL Launch to Gameweek 1

As pre-season kicks into full swing, you will notice regular changes on site. More new features will be added to the Upcoming Gameweek page as pre-season continues.

We will also be tweaking the Fixture Ticker to make it even easier to use.

You will also notice a link to a new Current Gameweek page in the new sidebar. The Current Gameweek page will go live as FPL data comes in. This means that after the Gameweek 1 deadline, you will have a one-stop shop for everything that is happening live. This includes your Gameweek live rank courtesy of our friends at LiveFPL.

Exciting Changes to Fantasy Football Scout 10

We aren’t done there!

Over the course of the season, the Members Area will get a further overhaul. There will be a new Members Dashboard coming soon with exclusive tools and widgets that will be improving constantly throughout the season.

We will also be adding all the new exciting features we create to the Fantasy Football Scout app. If you haven’t already, head to the Google Play Store or ISO App Store to download it for free.

Plus, if you head over to our YouTube channel, you will find the beginnings of change. We have commissioned all new branding and graphics for this season, which we started using this week. There are so many new and exciting things coming for 2025/26 to enhance your viewing experience!

I hope you are as excited for the coming season as I am. This really is the best ever time to be a Fantasy Football Scout Member.

Finally, please leave your comments below if you see any bugs or have suggestions for any further tweaks we could make. We’re always happy to have your feedback!

Can you update (after all these years) the "Your comment has been marked for review. It'll be published shortly" error message? We all know the rejected messages are not being reviewed and will not be published shortly (or at all). Thanks 🙂

    Nice new look, but:
    1. The comments ticker doesn't update, so can't see new comments coming in. Won't be able to see the 'captain fail' posts coming in 5 minutes after kickoff. Huge disappointment.
    2. Already mentioned elsewhere, refreshing the page doesn't return to the page position you refreshed from.

Its too early to criticise these website changes, and frankly harsh on the people who have spent time on it. But I do have concerns about it.

    1. The comments box now only shows 5 comments when it used to show 10 I think, on match day, when this place is busy, that box is going to be flying quicker than you can click a comment.
    2. Its not been optimized for mobile in the slightest.
    3. The reply's now look like new comments.
    4. The scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen does not function properly, that will make the site hard to navigate when pages have 150 comments.
    5. There are now massive blanks gaps on the side of the page for adverts, dead space essentially.

I have not used it enough to find other issues, but other people are pointing them out.

In the article it says "The Comments Section has also been refreshed with a new look. This will improve the user experience when you are chatting with the rest of the Scout community."

If this is the final result, you have not improved our experience but made it worse and only really made the font look a little nice. Is this update in reality just an update to incorporate ads better on the site, or improve the user's experience?

I won't pass judgement too fast, as I am sure things will be adjusted and changed a bit, but not looking great so far.

Another thing to add, on the app if you scroll up you can't press the homepage button or the sidebar

Why have they made it so that a reply looks like a new comment, can't work that out?

Yeah, why can we see only 5 latest comments?

Have the people who use this designed it or ..?

That's what I thought, do the designers use this website? I can't imagine that someone who uses this site regularly would ever consider reducing the number of comments shown in the comments box, and removing the auto update.

One can only assume that the auto update will be added / updated, impossible it wouldn't (like going back to the dark ages, why would a developer wish to do that)..none the less, no idea why all these new features couldn't be added to another page you go to and the original "dashboard" left alone?

Yes the mobile comment replies aren't clear enough.

... and still no "Edit comment" option 🙁

Thanks for the replies and upvotes guys, glad you feel the same. Something like this might actually kill this website if they aren't careful. No one is going to come here when the user experience is awful. It was always bad, but people lived with it, but now, they have somehow found ways to make it worse.

The only thing keeping people on this site is the other users, not the website itself. I'm not sure they realise that.

Hi all! Just a site update as it’s been a crazy day. Thank you for all your feedback, positive and negative. We have made a record of EVERYTHING you have said and thanks to you we have:

    - Increased the contrast in comment colours.
    - Fixed the usernames and comment time being cut off.
    - Increased the size of your Gravatars.

    We are currently working on:
    - Dark Mode.
    - Landing back at the same place after refreshing the page.

Keep the feedback coming and stay tuned for more updates!

      Some other annoying problems:
Having to make an extra click before scrolling down.
The list of the latest comments doesn't continually refresh, and now only shows 5 of them.
Some gravs still appear to be less clear than they used to be.

I’d appreciate the updates to this website too, probably. That is if it would let me scroll to see all the off screen bits instead of adds for mobile apps and other stuff. I mean I’m on an iPhone 13pro, not that old school but the site is pretty unreadable. Also as I’m on holiday , using 4G , the load times are ridiculous per page.

The new homepage looks good but I can't access it. All I get is a scrolling top with Members, pre season tracker, podcasts below it and then a list of the latest articles.

Answers to posts start far too left or need some some sort of colour change. Difficult to see who is answering to whom now. 3 mm "space" difference isn't enough.

    This all sounds great.

Could someone look into the audio on the podcasts please? It’s pretty awful and often the hosts are speaking at completely different levels. Just needs someone to properly devote a bit of time to get it right as often the podcasts are hard to listen to without having to turn the volume up and down throughout.

    Many thanks!

Just checked out the fpl gw1, looks good but the team strength confused me. Is it the playing against them strength or their own strength?
Because what i understood was that they rated the Everton attack over wolves, and the wolves defense better than Everton?

      Surely not.

Please someone explain what it really means

Just wanted to send a quick update on the new site changes:

      - I've just uploaded some tweaks to the comments UI to make it easier to distinguish replies.
      - Refreshing the page should now retain your scroll position on the page instead of resetting back to the top.
      - The main scrollbar should be visible again on the right hand side. It had been nudged to the right a little on some devices.

We'll be continually refining and improving the site over the coming days and weeks. Appreciate the feedback so far.

As Sheffield said above, well done for changing the colour of comments so that they are now more distinguishable.

What is going on with the comments box though? Are you planning to make changes to it? As we have all said, it only shows 5 comments now, and it is not auto updating to show new comments.

If the comment box does not get reverted back to how it was, I can guarantee that you will lose a ton of users. There is no way people are going to come here and constantly F5 the page every 30 seconds to see the last 5 comments. If you revert that back, and optimise the site for mobile users, then it will be fine, but if you don't do those things RIP.

What was the logic behind changes to the live comments box? Who made those decisions? Do they actually ever use this website? Is removing the auto update function a way of getting better ad revenue? As in each time we refresh, you get an extra view on an advert? - My instincts tell me that adverts have something to do with it, but hopefully I am wrong.

        * or at least for Hot Topics, as Community Articles can also be accessed through the "Community" tab near the top of the page.
