Hi Chaps, thinking using BB in DGW 34 instead of 37, just feel it would be better utilised perhaps in 34 and can focus on main 11 on WC in 35

    Team right now is:

    Dubravka
    Gabriel - VVD - Saliba
    Son - Saka - Salah - Palmer
    Solanke - Haaland - Darwin
    _______________________
    Areola: Sarabia: Branthwaite: Baldock

    2FT’s, 0.0 ITB

Hard to chop & change cheaper players because of nothing in the bank. So I was thinking:

This GW: Son + Areola > Eze + Neto
    GW 34: Dubravka + Baldock > Pickford + Anderson

    Would give 13 DGW’ers for a -4, plus Haaland + Palmer

    Sound reasonable?

Long post but appreciate any views gents, thanks.

      Maybe Son+Areola > Mac Alister/Diaz + Henderson ?

Henderson is an option if I remove Anderson as wouldn’t necessarily like Palace double up in defence, and I’m already maxed out on Liverpool assets so Mac A/Diaz would have to be left really.

Could alternatively bring Foden in for Son if he looks like starting against Luton and forsake an extra DGW’er

No from me. You're taking a hit to get a BB of:

      Neto, Andersen, Branthwaite and Palmer.

Plus you have to sell Son this week which could easily backfire. The GK transfers are what do you in imo. Using 2 transfers just to buy DGW keepers is very unlikely to be worthwhile. If you had Neto already then I might be more on board.

Cheers Camzy! This does make sense to me, and something I’m only pondering really.
Thing is I have 2FT’s to use and don’t really fancy burning one this GW, so I’ve no idea what move to make really if leaving Son in there for this GW, which like you say could easily backfire if I got rid before NEW.

Yeah I dunno. Quite a few of us have 2 FTs this week with no obvious move.

In your shoes I might do something like Areola > Ortega as a one-week punt.

Next week, Dubravka + Son out and then you have a pretty much perfect team for GW34.

Yeah it’s a trick one ain’t it, Ortega could provide some extra funds to mess around with even though Ederson should be back realistically. Then the Dub + Son out moves would land me nicely then for 34.
Every chance I could just do this, and not be too hasty and rush anything, cheers buddy very helpful as always!

Not first choice anymore then 😛 Yeah no idea. But the GK position is this guy's weakest spot on the team so it would make sense to find someone better than Dubravka for one week.

For sure, Ortega could still come in just so I don’t burn a transfer and create a little extra funds and just choose one DGW keeper.

Money shouldn't matter for you. No one you'll want to replace Son with is more expensive and you can use what's left to upgrade the GK spot.

Whilst fairly sound advice. Would 37 be better? Assuming perfection at a different time is madness at this point

I think yes because you have WC in 35 and 2 FTs if you plan it so you roll in 36 to make the BB37 as close to perfect as possible.

You'd be able to wildcard now into a BB34 without hits and then just build back Spurs and Palmer.

It's probably only Son and Porro really so ain't to tricky, maybe Gusto too?

      It's madness.

No consistency and poor timing for due process.

They are being held to 2013 transfer market values in these rules...

It doesn't stack up and questions the integrity of the Premier League as a competition where people compete on a level playing field with game/league state certainty.

      Poor show all-round.

Yes, solely because if you're going for the Spurs defence, you're not doing it for the clean sheets so you want the one doing the most attacking

Probably better to have RAn or Branthwaite for their better fixture for a clean sheet.

      Forest and Bournemouth at home.

Really torn, love your thoughts...I'm 34 FH and 37 BB, from this game week on, who's better (I'm selling one of the MFs for Foden this week)

    A. Salah/Wood
    B. Saka/Hojlund

    A. No DG for wood in 37, but in form and good matches rest of the way. Helpful off the bench as people sit/rotate
    B. Original plan, but Hojlund has been poor and Saka's fitness is a concern. Hoj does have a DG for 37.

Delighted to see Wood doing so well and under a manager that seems to really appreciate him. Felt for him having played for so long at such a negative Burnley side, he goes to Newcastle pretty much just to plug a short-term gap while players were out injured and then to Forest to seemingly do the same thing, but it seems like Nuno really likes him

Generally speaking double Arsenal defence is great, especially on the road but Havertz ia a v good option. The Wolves game looks promising and Chelsea could be a bit wild.

A few final passes and Eze took up some great positions at the weekend where he could have easily scored.

Ollise coming back into contention too.

They've got 3 days before Real Madrid for both legs so could easily rotate again.

            As Pep says

            3 days
            3 days
            3 days

            Hectic schedule...

            That's the basic point.

Pep rotation could be back in full swing.

KDB and Grealish etc all available and Foden could be managed.

Alvarez came off on 65mins so I suspect he starts in Madrid.

            Travel factor too.

It's actually 4 days before the 2nd leg against Madrid. Also both Luton and Madrid are home fixtures.

                My bad

I got the 3 days Pep mantra stuck in my head

That's fair on the flight but they are also home around about 3-4 am so that becomes a rest day.

The Tuesday fixture helps for Saturday I guess.

Thursday and Friday for light training and team tactics etc. for Luton.

                  Thanks Ac/DC AFC,

Valid points made with Pep rotation pull in the coming weeks.

I will now look at any Man City players with great thought process prior to selecting
or at least a Plan B on the bench

They're able for it though. Haaland barely had any rests last season and Foden has played nearly every game from after mid-December until his rest last weekend

Starting and/or how any minutes will likely depend on how the CL game goes tomorrow. Return leg next week

May as well wait till Wednesday or Thursday to see how Arsenal and Man City players get on against Bayern and Real Madrid this week.

West Ham, Liverpool and Villa all in Europa action too.

Chances of Foden playing against Luton? - Pot luck now rotation is under way? - I need a way to use my 2FT to get Newcastle players in for GW35 (FH in GW34) and it's a choice of dropping Foden or Saka (I'd prefer to keep Saka for Aston Villa).

He should be fine, even with how bad Pep is he can hardly keep dropping Foden in his form

High chance of playing in my opinion. He's had his rest and De Bruyne is more likely to be protected.

Please can someone sanity check me considering taking out VVD? I have 2 FT and 0.0 ITB

      Petrovic
      VVD Gabriel Gusto
      Salah Saka Foden Son Palmer
      Darwin Haaland

      Dubravka C Richards Taylor Semenyo

      GW33:
      VVD > White / Saliba
      C Richards > Branthwaite

      GW34:
      Dubravka > Kelleher

      GW35:
      White > Pedro Porro

      Happy to be talked down

          Good to know

          Maybe VVD > White
          and
          C Richards > Bradley

          But when’s TAA back?

      Dubravka
      Saliba Gabriel Porro
Salah Saka De bruyne Palmer Son
      Toney Darwin

      Morris Doughty Cash Aerola.
      Free hitting in 34.
      Worried about Toney.
      Chances he'll start against Sheffield?

Is Salah, Díaz, Mac the way to go for Pool in DGW34?

Those three plus Saka + Havertz mean I can’t have Eze or Sarabia and forces me to choose weaker defensive and attacking options by missing out on Virgil/Darwin.

        Currently I have Darwin/Salah/Bradley
but unsure of mins if TAA comes back & rotation.

Salah, Díaz, Mac seems possible in high sight a much better selection option

Defence possible depends on whom you have now
